And all through the City
Not a creature was stirring, not even a Chihuahua;
The stockings were hung by the curio cabinet with care
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.
The pups were nestled all snug on their couch
While visions of treats danced in their heads!
Did Santa Paws come yet?
(Sigggghhhhhhhh) Nope, not yet.
Guess I'll go back to sleeping, maybe next time I wake he'll have been here.

Furfriends, we are so excited about the Holiday Pet Blog Hop Giveaway over at Park Avenue Chihuahua!! We picked out 3 nifty items that we'd like to win, butt we're hoping that we win the $10 Petsmart gift card, beclaws if we do, we are going to donate it to Noah's Arks Rescue!
Noah's Arks Rescue is a group of angels who work to help end the senseless killing of animals. They provide emergency medical and surgical services to abused animals. We have made it our mission to help Noah's Arks Rescue and have pledged that 10% of every sale at Lilibell's Couture will be donated to Noah's Arks Rescue. Mom has even created an Angel dress (named in honor of the volunteers at Noah's Arks) that will be for sale at Lilibell's Couture, with 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this fabulous dress to be donated to Noah's Arks. The dress will be listed for sale this upcoming weekend, so keep your eyes out for it!

A Celebration of Me!
Saturday night was the night of my big birthday celebration bash! Mom and I spent the day in the kitchen getting everything ready, I snoopervised her while she slaved cooked and baked, making sure she didn't burn my birthday cake or the meatballs, steamed the veggies just right and cooked the hamburgers to pefection.
Then it was time for us to put our best pawty outfits on and wait for the guests to arrive.
We were waiting on Auntie Lisa, Auntie Julie, the Boy and of course my divine girlfriend Sally Jean.
I think they're here!
My girl Sally Jean stuffing her beautiful face with a hamburger and steamed broccoli and carrots....a girl after my own heart!
The moment I was waiting for, ever since the smell of it baking drove me crazy with desire...Mom's famously nummylicious birthday cake.
Make a wish Chewy! (I wish for lots and lots of toys, BOL!)
And wouldn't you know....my wish came true!
Butt, this is my favorite gift, my quacking duck (no, it has not driven Mom and Dad crazy...yet, BOL!)
My Mom is the bestest Mom in the world because every birthday she always make sure that we feel extra special that day.

Have You Missed Us?
Here is a picture of our furry faces, in case you forgot what we looked like, BOL!
If you haven't yet, pop on over to Twink's blog to find out more about National Dog Week and the contest. We wish everyone who has entered this contest good luck!
We've so missed being on here, even though we've been almost able to keep up with everyone. Our Mom secretary has been awfully busy lately trying to get sample outfits made for the debut of Lilibell's Couture, which opens up on October 1. We are hoping that after the madness has died down that we'll be on here more often.
Butt, we decided to pop on here today because we heard through Twink that this is National Dog Week and she is having a Show Us Your Tongue contest! We have decided that Lilibell should be entered in this contest because she has the most delicious, pinkest and longest tongue for a little Chihuahua.

A Tragic Loss
Yesterday we learned of the tragic loss of Dr. Dre. We enjoyed reading his blog and always looked forward to new posts, and he was such a little cutie pie. But his too short life came to a tragic end on August 2, 2010.
We will miss seeing you Dr. Dre and hearing about your adventures. We hope that you are romping happily over the Rainbow Bridge.
Furfriends, please go on over and offer your condolences, love and support. Dr. Dre was his pawrents baby boy and we can only imagine how much pain they are in right now.
Rest in Peace Dr. Dre, you will always be remembered.

Do You Like?
My new zebra tutu?
Yes, Mom made it for me! She said that I'll be getting a necklace to match it, but she's been super busy and hasn't had time to make it yet.

And she even made a matching vest for Chewy!
Mom has decided, after much prodding from Dad and encouragement from her friend Susan, that in October she's going to start selling her fashion doggie designs on Adorable Pet Clothes! We hope that you will all come and check out Lilibell's Couture in October. There will be many exciting fashions for us girls and even the bo-dawgs too! Plus pretty jewelry that will compliment the dresses!
I do look pretty, don't I?

Lazy Ears
Furfriends, you all know that Chewy is 100% certifiably a Chihuahua, but he is not your average Chi. Chi's are supposed to be around 5 to 6 pounds (that is the standard) but Chewy weighs around 12 pounds!! Also, he is very big for a Chi too. And the other thing that makes him different from Moi, your standard Chi, is that he has floppy ears!
No, they do not stand at attention like they're supposed to, they flop over. Mom said that when he was a puppy, his ears did stand straight up for two weeks, but then they flopped back down and have stayed down ever since. Mom calls them "Lazy Ears" because they are too lazy to stand straight up, BOL!
Butt....when Chewy is sleeping and his ears are sleeping too, they sometimes forget they're supposed to be floppy and...they stand straight up! And look, I have proof of this phenomenon!!
Exhibit 1: Chewy is fast asleep, butt his ears are sticking straight up.
That's okay Chewy about your floppy ears, we still love you!!

Paw it Forward Pressies!
We got our Paw it Forward box from Avery!
Look at the note from Avery, it says "Chewy & Lilibell, Thanks so much for playing Paw It Forward with me. I hope that both of you enjoy your new pressies. With lots of love, Your furpal Avery." He is such a cutie, I think that Lilibell, and even Mom, have a crush on him!!
Look Chewy at all the cool toys we got!
Avery hit the nail right on the head with all the toys he picked out for us, we love furry stuffed toys and every single one of them that we got we just looooove!
Okay Mom, let's get the tags off the toys now.
Yeah, Mom, hurry up!
A carrot! We love real carrots and now we have a stuffed one to play with, BOL!
Lilibell, this is like Christmas in July with all of these toys! I just don't know which one to play with first!
Avery, thank you so much for the pressies, you are the best!
Avery, I love you!
Now, our turn to play! Instead of picking someone, because that would just be too hard for us, so the first one of our furfriends to leave a comment will be the next honored recipient!

On Vacation!
Hello furfriends! We just wanted to let you all know that Mom is on vacation this week, so we will not be around that much. Butt we have caught up on everyone's blogs to today and hopefully at some point this week we will try to catch up again. Please don't be offended if we don't leave a comment on your blog....we will read all of them butt as we have so many friends that it would be hard to leave a comment on everyone's, especially if we have a lot of catching up to do!
We don't have a lot planned for Mom's vacation as we're having a heat wave up here and it's just way too hot to do anything outside. The weatherlady said that with the humidity the heat index is going to be over 100!! We have to say that there is one disadvantage to living in the city as all the buildings and concrete just capture the heat and it feels like you're walking into an oven when you go outside, BOL! Mom said it's even too hot to go to the beach. So we're just going to spend time with Mom in the AC and snoopervise her as she gets caught up on her sewing and jewelry making.
Butt, we did have a good 3rd of July over at Granma's house!
Here's our Auntie Suzanne. We had a lot of fun going for walks with her around the yard and up and down the street and we got lots of petting and lovin from her.
Granma, Chewy's in da house, let's get this pawty started!!
Then on the Fourth, Mom and Dad decided to take a day for themselves and spent it on Block Island. For those of you who have never heard of Block Island, it's a small island off the coast of Rhode Island. You need to take a ferry to get there, which takes about an hour. We said it was okay for them to go because we needed to relax after our busy day at Granma's.
This is them on the ferry going over there
And this is Block Island
Mom said that she rushed back home because she knew there were fireworks going off in the neighborhood and she knows how much fireworks makes us nervous and anxious. Rhode Island just passed a law making non-aerial fireworks legal, which meant that there were lots and lots of fireworks going off!! We are so glad the Fourth is all done with because now it will be a lot quieter around here!
So furfriends, we hope you all have a great week and we'll see you soon!!

Like my Fourth of July vest? Yes, Mom made it. She's thinking about going into business selling her outfits as we think she does a pawsome job on them!
