Today Mom and me had a day together with Auntie Lori, and cousins Nate and Harry! We went to Johnston Memorial Park for the annual Apple Festival and I had so much fun!
Our day started when Mom dressed me in the pretty pink harness that our dear friend Susan had made for me.
When Mom put that on me, I knew that we were headed out for a fun day. Mom at first was talking about taking Chewy, but Dad wasn't sure if they allowed dogs in the park (wait a minute!!! I'm not a dog...I'm a child wrapped in fur, BOL!), Mom decided to just take me, as I'm much, much quieter than Brother, and if anyone said anything to us, she would just pop me into my VB bag.
Here's Brother pouting because he can't go, but then Mom gave him his Nyla bone and he was much happier, plus Dad was staying home with him, so he wouldn't be alone.
Then we were off!
We were to meet Aunti Lori in the parking lot of Shaws.
Where is Aunti Lori?
Is that her??
It was a good time at the festival.
I didn't really want to do a lot of walking, I preferred to ride in Mom's arms. I guess I was in a lazy mood today, BOL!
Mom, I as a princess need to be carried by you!
Plleeaasssee pick me up!
There's my cutie cousins Nate & Harry.
Boy, was I pooped! As soon as we got into the truck to go home, I fell right asleep!
And then when I got home I pooped out on Dad's shoulder until it was suppertime.
This past Sunday, Steve and I decided to take advantage of a beautiful sunny day and go down to Point Judith/Galilee for an afternoon of fishing (well, he fishes and I lose myself in a good book!). Unfortunately, we had to leave the puppers home, which they were not at all happy about (we did make it up to them the next day when we spent the afternoon at Auntie Lori's house), but the docks down there are very narrow and I could just foresee myself having a million and one heart attacks as they ventured too close to the edge of the dock!
Hey, I caught one!!
Before we headed home, we decided to stop by one of the docks to get some lobsters fresh off of the boat, and also picked up some steamers and blue crabs for a seafood fest.
Before we put the lobsters in the pot, we put them on the floor to see what Chewy's reaction was. As you can all pretty much guess by now, he barked his foolish head off and would not get too close to them (but then again, would you? Lobsters are pretty scary looking if you're down at the level, with the antennas waving around and the beady eyes, lol!).
Time to dig in! I tried giving the pups some lobster, but they sniffed it and turned their noses up at it! Imagine that!...and I thought they would eat anything!
This award says "your blog is like a pearl, rare, delicate and charming"
Awww, Coco, are you saying that I'm like a pearl....rare, delicate and charming?? Because I know you are not talking about my brother Chewy...he is far from delicate, BOL!!!
But thank you my cousin, I feel so very special today!!
I'd like to pass this award on to all of the other princesses out there..... the first one I'm bestowing this award upon is Twix of A Wiener Dog Blog . Miss Twix has been sick lately, but she is doing much better now, and maybe this award will make her even more better and feel like the princess she is!! (plus, Mom is just sooooo in love with cutie pie Twix!)
Next up, our new friends from over that big pond, the English Princesses Dinah & Bridget of Dip Dip and the Bridge (don't you just love the name of their blog!!) They are little fashion princesses just like I am, and if we ever met up to go shopping, we'd all be in big, big trouble, BOL!
Izabella of Chihuahua Caliente also gets the Pearl award. She is the cutest Chi (besides me, BOL!!) and Mom just looooves her little pink tongue.
And can't forget our Scottish sister Honey of The Scottish Chi Tails. I think she deserves it as she lives with 2! pesky brothers and one of them, Romeo, looks like Chewy. If he looks like Chewy, he has to be another Chewy, and that means lots of headaches for Honey, BOL! (Sister, I feel for ya!)
Also, I am passing this award on to Mollie Jo of Dog Eared because she is a very curly country princess! And also to Bijou of One Puppy's Life. She has the most awesome ears, big like mine!! Bijou, can you hear me??? I can hear you!
And I can't forget my very favorite cousin Lexi of Munchkin Memoirs! I know she already had this award given to her, but I'm giving it to her again because she is my favorite cousin and such a southern belle/princess!
Coco, once again, thank you for this award!! We MUST get together one of these days and go shopping, I know we would have so much fun (and do a lot of damage to our Moms' wallets, but hey, we are princesses and that's what we do, BOL!)
The next award that we got, the Awesome Pawsome Award, came from our Auntie Tiffany and cousins Bentley and Lexi! We just love our Auntie Tiffany, she is our favorite Auntie, besides our Aunties Sue, Lilian, Mandy and Lori!
Here are the rules:
1. Put the award on your blog and link to who gave it to you. 2. Give a nod to the Purple Hatter who made the award. 3. Give the award to at least 5 of your blogging buddies who blog at least once a week.
I'm going to remember the boys now, so they don't feel left out in not getting an award! So, the award is going to the following cute boys! 1. Studd of Studd Muffin - Enough Said. We've been friends for a long time now! 2. Our new friend Sparky of Sparky's Pooping Grounds. Hey Sparky, you a pooper like my bro?? BOL!! 3. Bobo, another cute curly poodle!! 4. Checkers of Checkers the Peek-A-Poo. He has a small liver like I do, so yes, he definitely deserves this award! 5. And can't forget cutie Draco of Dragon Time Chihuahua!!

I am a 40 something year old mother to two rambunctious Chihuahuas - Chewy and Lilibell! I was inspired to start a blog by my dear friends Tiffany and Lilian as a way to record all the memorable moments of Chewy and Lilibell.
This is the life and times of two Chihuahuas living in a city.
Born December 3, 2007 Likes: Squeaker toys, barking out the window, Cheerios, walks, underwear, kissing, back scratches, cucumbers
Dislikes: High places, getting his teeth brushed, thunder storms and that's about it, there's really not too much he doesn't like!
Quirks: Needs to bring his favorite toy of the moment to bed with him...not to play with, just to be there! Thinks he owns the City streets, must touch the beads in the bedroom before going to bed, loves to suck on our thumbs (yes, just like a baby!), rolling around in piles of dirty towels.
Miss Lilibell
Born June 17, 2008 Likes: Her blue sheep, socks, dressing up, going on outings, Cheerios, belly rubs, walks, playing fetch, kissing
Dislikes: Getting her feet wet
Quirks: Lilibell really doesn't have any quirks, except that she will munch on anything and everything she finds on the floor.
