Birthday Cake Recipe
Hello everyone, the Mom here! I've had a lot of requests for the recipe for the birthday cake I always make for Chewy & Lilibell's birthday, so here it is! This cake is very safe for dogs because it has no sugar or salt in it.
Peanut Butter Carrot Cake
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 cup peanut butter (I use the all natural smooth peanut butter, the brand is Teddy's)
1/4 vegetable oil
1 cup shredded carrots (approximately 2 carrots)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
Mix flour and baking soda. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into greased 8" round cake pan (I use a small bone cake mold) and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Let cool.
For the frosting, I've used smooth peanut butter in the past. For Lilibell's cake, I used 1 small tub of fat free cream cheese and added enough strawberry jello powder to make it pink. Instead of cream cheese, you can use low fat yogurt mixed with jello.

I'm 2 today!
Mom had a doggy birthday pawty for me on Saturday. Sally Jean and Auntie Lisa and Auntie Julie came by to help me celebrate!
Is Sally Jean here yet?
Nope, my honey is not here yet.
She's here, let's get this pawty started!
Mom made a hamburger with steamed broccoli and carrots for the birthday dinner.
And she even made her famously delicious doggy birthday cake!
Of course, Chewy, being the piggy that he is, just had to have the first lick.
Furfriends, Mom makes the BEST birthday cake in the whole world!

Huh, what? Sorry, I didn't hear you Lilibell, I was too busy eating my delicious cake! Hey, have your Mom give my Mom the recipe.
Then it was time for prezzies.
Hmmm, I wonder what I got?
I got from Auntie Julie a soft green bone toy and also a rope frisbie thingie! And my BFF Sally Jean got me a trophy toy that says #1 Pet and on the bottom it says "My Best Friend."
Then it was time to play some pawty games. Sally Jean and I played "Tag, You're It."

Unexpected Bath
Furfriends, you won't believe what happened to me! I had to have a bath and it wasn't even that time of the month!
We were out on our daily walk when I stopped to check some pee mail. Chewy came over, decided he didn't like that pee mail and added his own to it. Problem was was that I was still checking out the pee mail and, yep, you guessed it, Chewy peed on me!!!
When we came home, Mom told Dad that I needed a bath pronto! I do not like baths, I do not like to get wet, and I certainly do not like the drying time afterwards.
Chewy thought that he would get away with not having to get a bath, because of course he wasn't the one who got peed on. But, hahahaha, little did he know that since I was getting a bath Dad figured he would give him a bath too (hahahahahahahahaha Chewy, serves you right for peeing on me!)
After our baths, it was time for our usually zoomies to try and dry ourselves off as fast as possible.
Chewy, you better not pee on me anymore!
Hey furfriends, Chewy here. For the record, I did not pee on Lilibell on purpose, I can't help it if she was in the way! I warned her by lifting my leg, but evidently she did not take the hint.
Also, unlike Lilibell, I do not mind baths at all!! When I was a little puppy, I used to climb in the shower with Dad when he was taking a shower and now when I get baths I stand there like the good dog I am, whereas Lilibell is always trying to flee the sink. When I get a bath, Lilibell thinks that our pawrents are killing me in the sink, BOL! She stands there and cries and cries until I am all done. If you think I'm kidding, here's a video Mom took of her.
So, I hope the record is set straight now!

Our New Friend
Furfriends, we just wanted to tell you about our new friend, Avery Jack! He is a Chihuahua/Schnauzer mix and is quite the cutie!
He's pretty new around blogging land and is looking for lots of pawsome friends. Won't you go by and check him out? We know you won't be disappointed!

He Came Home!
Blue Sheep finally decided to come back home after a trip to CouchLand! I'm so very happy because I've been missing Blue Sheep and he was gone just way too long.
Blue Sheep is my absolute favorite toy in the world, he's been with me every since I was a baby, and that's been 2 years now! He's old and ratty, but that's just the way I like him. Mom has tried in the past to replace him with a new blue sheep but sorry, no one can take the place of my Blue Sheep!

Mom went to Petco on Saturday.

A toothbrush!!!! What?? Is that it?? What is this? This is not a toy, or food or a treat. It's a toothbrush and toothpaste! She says that now we're brushing our teeth, I need my very own toothbrush so Lilibell and I don't have to share anymore.
Thanks Mom for the great gift (yeah, that's sarcastic, BOL).
