Oops! I ate it award!!

Photobucket

Our friend Studd has honored us with the "Oops I Ate it Award!"

Here is Studd, Photobucket he's such a cutie patootie and he has such an awesome bond with his Daddy, sometimes seeing pictures of them brings such a heartwarming feeling to me!

The rules are as follows:

"When accepting this award, you must blog about the food you have stolen when your humans were not watching. If you have never stolen any food, you must have been a really good pup! You can accept this yummy tray of cookies as your reward! Next add the logo of this award to your blog (optional), then nominate at least 5 other furry blogs and let them know by leaving a message on their blogs."

Well, on the part of Chewy and Lilibell, they are accepting this award as a reward, thanks Studd!! I have to say, they've never stolen any food. The most that they do is while I'm cooking, both of them will be under my feet just waiting for little tidbits to be dropped, which they immediately swoop down upon and clean it up with their doggy vacuum! And while we are eating, they're always sitting by their father, patiently waiting for him to slip them little pieces of human food.

So thank you once again Studd!!

We are now passing along this reward to those irresistible and cute little ones, Dinah and Bridget, who live on the far side of that big pond, and also to the 3 absolutely adorable little Scottish Chi's - Honey, Zac and Romeo. And of course, we can't forget about our Southern cousins Bentley and Lexi, we are sure that they will have a couple of barking funny stories to tell!!
If there is anyone else who has not gotten the award, and has a great and funny story to tell about stolen food, feel free to pick this award up and tell away!!

Waiting for his Momma

Every day I leave for work at the same time and come home right around the same time too. Steve has told me in the past that the peanut heads always start to get antsy around 5:00, which is about 15 minutes before I arrive home. He says that they get up and start pacing around or will sit in front of the door. When I get to the front door, Chewy is the one who always hears me and will look out the window and start his happy whining and pawing on the screen, then I can hear Lilibell in the background starting on her high pitch whining bark.....when I open the door I'm greeted by two monkeys who are in a frenzy! Lilibell is dancing circles and jumping and Chewy's tail is going a mile a minute and then he starts jumping from couch to couch. Both of them won't settle down until I sit down and they can get in my lap to give me kisses!

In our living room, we have a bench underneath one of the windows that looks down the street and also onto our driveway.

Chewy is the only one who is able to jump up on this bench. I usually approach the house from the opposite direction, but yesterday I approached it from this direction. As I got closer to the house, I could see through this window the top of Chewy's head and his ears. When I got to the driveway, I said "is that my Chewy?" and instantly his head popped up and he started his usual happy whining and barking. My Chewy, the sweet son that he is, was sitting on this bench waiting for me to come home! It was enough to just melt my heart!

The Most Earistible Contest!

Munchkin Memoirs

Tiffany and the munchkins are having an "Ear"istible contest and here are our entries.

First up......Miss Lilibell

Photobucket

Lilibell's ears have always been, since she was about 12 weeks of age, standing at attention. They've never gone up and down like most Chi's ears do when they are still little. We had a nickname for her when she was younger, we used to call her our "alien baby" because her ears in relation to her head at that stage were much, much bigger! Now that she has reached her full size, her head and ears are much better proportioned!

When Chewy was little, his ears were floppy like every other puppy. Then, for about two weeks, they were standing at attention!
Photobucket

After that, they went up and down, and we always thought that was due to his teething. Until one day.....they went down and never came back up! But that's okay, because I think that his floppy ears (or "lazy ears" as I like to call them, sometimes, when he's sleeping, they will be standing at attention, and when he's awake, they're floppy, almost like he's too lazy to make them stand straight up, lol!) make him even more adorable! Sometimes, he looks up at me with an innocent look in his eyes, and his floppy ears give him an even more innocent air about him, and it always melts my heart!

Not so prim & proper!

There is nothing like rolling around in sun-warmed grass! I had the time of my life, but Mommy got kind of mad at me.....she said I was dirtying up my pretty dress!

Photobucket

Oh the noise!!

When Lilibell was younger, she very rarely spoke, until one day when she found her voice!

Chewy has always been a very vocal little boy, whereas Lilibell is very much the prim and proper little lady! A lot of people have never even heard her speak. But oh boy, when she does, it can get to a loud and piercing pitch! One of the nicknames that I have for her is "popcorn popper." Sometimes, she'll start out with tiny little barks, almost like little huffs, which slowly builds in frequency and volume until she's full force.....much like a popcorn popper!!
